The Dark Side Of Tulips
My dear friend Ellio and I have been creating still life’s together for over four years. We do it as an act of love, play, creativity, and to nurture our growing friendship. We've chosen a handful of our favorites to share with the world in a big format.
With this collection of prints, we set out to do many things: celebrate the beauty of local, seasonal flowers and create something meaningful together with the Earth.
We hope these prints inspire you to play and reflect with your own friends, while filling your home with a big, nature-filled hug.
When you purchase this art, you’re supporting both Theresa and Ellio’s work. The flowers in these photos were grown and designed by Ellio, with the photos taken by Theresa.
We are selling two different options
1. 16x 24 Archival Print on Eco friendly, Hahnemuhle Hemp. Hahnemuhle claims that their papers have been vegan since 1965 but hemp is also eco friendly because it’s made of a plant fiber that grows rapidly and without the need of pesticides. Hemp also requires much less water than materials used in traditional papers. Because it does not use optical brighteners, this reduces the chemical footprint as well. Hahnemuhle is known for their quality papers and this paper does not disappoint. The colors and black tones are rich and details come out beautifully. It has a slight texture to it so it will be appealing to watercolor painters as well.
2. 24×36 Museum Grade Cotton Canvas is framed with an American-made Ash frame. This pure cotton canvas pairs with natural ash wood from the Appalachian Mountains. Produced with materials that have a lower environmental impact, this frames halo effect increases emphasis on the piece of art. Truly a show stopper to any room.
